I've no idea if this post will ever reach the LJ servers as I am currently mooching off some unsecured wireless network which is SO weak, that every 10 seconds or so my computer tells me that I am "not connected".... only to tell me 5 seconds later that I am. Whatsmore the pages wont load properly rendering the internet looking much like I imagine it did back in the days when Al Gore claims he invented it .

YES....so I am now residing in my new pad (or technically, as the LAW would have it, my mum's new pad but heck, what did the law ever mean to me?! besides I am paying the bills and mortgage, so yeah...mine). It feels kind of strange (no landlord to call on when things go wrong around the house...no housemates to avoid (for all that my silent, invisable chinese woman at the old place counted as a housemate)) but good too... I think.

ANYWAY...now that I am all grown up (hahaha), I need some new art work to adorn my walls. Has anyone got any recommendations? I know that seems a strange request, but I am at a loss as to what to put up that doesn't reduce my flat to looking like a student dive/teenage boy's bedroom... at the same time, I don't want to put up pictures that aren't 'me' (I don't mean that literally, but I am sure you knew that).

Hmm what does everyone else do when they grow up? I am not ready for 'fine art' just yet...

(In serious real life, I should be studying/plotting ways to escape horrible work/filling in council tax forms/not rewatching last week's heroes...)

M.I.A. tomorrow night... expect lots of OMG...SQUEE posts from me afterwards (provided I can find a wireless network to hijack).

After that I really need to get my head down and get on with some revision. Tort textbook, here I come!

But for now, I am sat here, one eye on the election results coming in (The SNP have just taken their first seat from Labour...*sigh*) and the other concentrating on a silly 'career timeline flowchart' that Boss A has asked for. The information is all there, but I just can't get it to look 'pretty'. I know that this timeline is probably going to end up in the hands of my firm's management committee so I should at least make it look like I spent more than 5 minutes on it...

I don't know what was up with Boss B today; she had soooo much red blusher on I couldn't look at her and keep a straight face. She looked positively clown-esque. Then, she told me about how she had phoned the courts asking if a date had been set down for an inquest into X's death... except she had got her names mixed up and X was very much still alive, and just happened to work in the office she had just called. Nice.

Wow, The Green Party just came third here in the Kelvin constituency (which I believe was their only 'first past the post' seat they stood for). Thats not a bad result, even if it doesn't win them a seat in this particular case.

I'm convinced that 'Cats on Fire' are the work of the devil, albeit annoyingly addictive (but in a really bad way). Oh god...make it stop! I am willing to forgive the woeful lyrics as I don't think english is their first language but it is as if Moz never gave up on jangly guitars or that music never moved on from 1985... not that there is anything wrong with music from 1985... its just that I am not sure the world needs another Moz impersonator and certainly not one who seems intent on taking the lowest-common denominator aspects of the Smiths and rehashing it 10 times over an album. I don't usually feel inclined to rant about music but this band have really hit a nerve. I'm sure they are lovely boys though...

Stuff:- Sammy Lee took over at Bolton. AFC Wimbledon play away at Bromley in the first leg of the semi-final play offs tomorrow evening. Uffie's 'Hot Chick' is not the best song to have stuck in your head if you are inclined to sing out loud at work. I have exams in 3 weeks. I've been watching a lot of 'The Wire'. Logan tried to wake me up on Friday by scratching my nose with his paw - I now have an (even) big(ger) red nose, but hey, it worked, I woke up. On Saturday he tried a different method and knocked over a big glass of water I had cleverly placed next to my bed the night before in a hangover-avoiding tactic. I desperately need a bigger flat so that the cat has more of his own space (and I can get more sleep). My housemate has managed to consume two entire packets of pasta of mine (without asking) in the past 3 days. Admittly this only amounts to about £1.50's worth of pasta but I am still pissed off. Likewise, he has failed to return one of my pans and has burnt the other. I will still avoid confronting him about all of this though because I am a pussy.

Miaow. Purrrrrrrrrr.

So, I'm back from my 18 day trip around the world. Tokyo, New Zealand and LA. Photos slowly appearing on my flickr account, as and when I can be bothered naming, tagging and uploading them all. Fabulous, Fantastic, Fun. (The trip, not flickr).

I've been hit by panic attacks quite badly these past few days. I don't really know why.

I wish I was still in the USA... dying for another Taco Bell bean burrito.

Hurrah for hanging out with fab new people (they'd know who they were if they were reading this).

Boo to evil bitch bosses who make my working life a misery.

David Gest's security entourage consists of about 8 burly men and 2 policemen. Why?

Will I ever get back in to my blogspot account?

I'm off to google random IT girls' blogs.
